UIN Jambi Architecture Students Win Awards at National Competition

JAMBI, July 29, 2025 – Exciting news from the Architecture students at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Two teams have won awards at the National Scientific Competition for State Islamic Higher Education (PTKIN), which was organized by UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
The intense final round was held online on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The competition featured various categories, including scientific papers, scientific posters and infographics, a mini hackathon, and an eco-habits campaign. This prestigious event was participated in by students from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of PTKIN across Indonesia, including UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Alauddin Makassar, UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and many others.
In the Scientific Poster category, the UIN STS Jambi team won 3rd Place. The team, consisting of Raffi Ahmad Zikri, Abdul Aziz Suryadi, and Nur Lissa, secured the win with their work titled “MENENUN HARMONI: Bioswale dalam Bingkai Khalifah Fil Ard dan Kearifan Lokal”.
Another great result came from the Scientific Paper category. The team of Chindy Azzahra, Indah Purwati, and Griselda Tabina Ibtisamah earned the 1st Favorite Winner with their paper titled, “MENENUN HARMONI: Bioswale dalam Bingkai Khalifah Fil Ard dan Kearifan Lokal”.
In response to this achievement, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Mr. Arfan, S.Th.I., M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and support.
“Congratulations on this outstanding achievement. Don’t stop here; if there are other competitions, go for them. The faculty is committed to guiding and assisting you in your preparations,” he said. “Congratulations on the awards.”
The success of these two teams is not only a source of pride for the Architecture Program but for the entire UIN STS Jambi community. Hopefully, it will inspire other students to continue to innovate and achieve at the national level. (Hannifa)
