Varaninsya Khairani, an Architecture student, successfully advanced to the top 32 at the FORNAS VIII in West Nusa Tenggara, competing against nearly 300 archers from across Indonesia.
JAMBI, 4 August 2025 – Varaninsya Khairani, an Architecture student at the State Islamic University (UIN) Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi, has carved out a prestigious achievement on the national sports stage. She competed in Traditional Archery at the 2025 National Community Sports Festival (FORNAS) held in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Showcasing her sportsmanship and skill, Varaninsya successfully advanced to the round of 32, competing against nearly 300 archers across Indonesia. She achieved this during the festival that ran from July 26 to August 1, 2025.
FORNAS VIII is the largest community sports festival in the nation, held under the motto “Kalah Menang Semua Senang.” It’s a motto that stresses how taking part and enjoying the game is what really matters, a spirit Varaninsya truly represented.
Varaninsya’s achievement isn’t just a personal win; she has also made her university, UIN STS Jambi, and the entire province of Jambi proud on a national level. (Hannifa)
